MASONIC HOTEL.
TENDERS FOR ADDITIONS
The following tenders have been received by Messrs Burr and Mirfield, architects, in connection with the important additions to the Masonic Hotel, which the proprietor Mr F. Hall, is having made :J. T. Julian and Son, Ltd.. £13,537; C. M. Taylor, £12,527; Geo. Smith, £12,174; Archie Kirk, £12,111 (accepted). The following additional tenders have also boen accepted: Plumbing, Messrs F. Hall and . Sons, £2875; lighting, Messrs F. Hall and Sons, £SOO. h Further tonders cover fittings for kitchen, etc.. £450, and passenger and goods electric lifts. £BOO. This brings the total cost of the new portion of the building up to £16.736. Later on the tliree-storeved building will be continued right o\it to Gladstone Road, at an 'estimated cost of £17.000. When the whole building has been re-erected the cost v :11 in /the vicinity of £47,736',' and the hotef should be then One .of the finest in the Dominion. • . '
