Hack Handicap Hurdles. 1£ miles.— Diavolo 10.11 1, St. Elmn 10.10 2, Cyra. 9.0 3. Also started: Multiply, Katua, Mens, Ku.rapatan.gi, Cokelv, Happy Jack and Eternity. Led all the wav. Won bv a length. Time, 3min 1 1-ossc.
Maiden Hack Race. 6 furlongs.— Gokllxaring 9.0 .1, olotto 9.0 2, Onand'a 9.0 3. Also started: Ulysses, Dennison, Valour, Sliding Form, Keynote, Fluke, Aviation, Bunting. Won v three-quarters of a length. Time, ! min 23 3-osec. Settlers’ Hack Hand-man. 7 furlongs. -Discussion 9.7 1, Haphdha 10.3 2, Prince Laddo 10.13 3. Also started: Y.’aipunoa, St. Omer, Danger Signal, Mystified, Rienzi, Pipeclay. A good race. St. Omer, Pipeclay, and Haphdha made the- running till the turn for home, when Discussion came through and won comfortably. Time, Imin 39sec. . , Pahiatua Handicap, 'LI miles.—Sam Pan 9.0 (IL Manson) 1. Ruatangata 9.5 2, His Eminence 9.13 3. A good race. Also started: Royal Anns, Rene, Plunder, Chillies. Combustion, Merrv Gain, Suratura, Negative. Suratura, Chillies, and Negative made the running. Sam Pan took command at tho turn for home. Won easily. His Eminence, the favorite, finished lengths awa\'. Time, 2-min 22 3-sscc. Hack Hunters’ Steepler, 2 miles.— Captain Maekay 10.9 1. Tirohanga 10.11 2, Grey Renswn 10.2 3. Also started': Stockade and Tyrannic. Gro-y Renown led most of the distance, Captain Maekay lying handy. _ Won by six lengths. 'Time, 4min 17soc. Kcmini Welter. 5 furlongs.—Gleuroy 11.3 1, Hushabve 10.10 2, Percclcr 10.0 3. Also started: Alt. Victoria, Black Lupin, Seatond-ale, Bradamante, Tiora, llvnian, Aviation, Headland, and Old Dad. Led all the way. A good finish. Time, Iniin /see. Telephone Hack Handicap, 5 furlongs.—Roval Mary 9.9 1, C-onziska 10.3 2, Bailyliar 9.0 3. Also started: Discussion, Sir Saracen, Ally, B aclc Ada. Arrahana. Joey, Keynote. Royal Mary led all the \va, but failed to draw the weight. 'The race, therefore, was awarded to Conziska.
