BRANCH FORMED AT TOKOMAR U. By Telegraph—T«>oial Corresponaenr, TO KOMAR IT BAY, July* 30. A general meeting of the local National Reserve was held in the To Buka hall cm Wednesd'ay night. Mr. W. Oates, senior, presided: and there were about 45 intending members present, the whole of whom gave in their names before leaving. Air Oates has well prepared* with all information pertaining to the f-r----niation of this branch and the matter is being enthusiastically taken up. Captain Carter gave the some useful information, which was much appreciated. Mr C. H. McCracken said that he was keenly in favor of the National Reserve, hut stated that what was considerably of more importance was that they sliolud teach the men to handle a’ rifle and shoot. It was necessary to know the drill and it was with' this object in view lie was joining the Reserve. He hoped steps would l>o taken also to look alter this part of the business. Other members spoke, on the matter amli the chairman answered several questions. Air Cameron then moved, seconded bv Air Fail-lie. president- of the R ll'--C'ub, that a branch of the National Reserve he formed in Tokoinarii.
