CAPTAIN ITEM) RESPONSIBLE. SEARCH STEAMER’S RETURN. (TRESS - ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND. Aug. 1. The steamer which went in search of the Pacific Cable Board’s schooner Strathcona returned to-day with thirteen members of the schooner’s cre,w, all well. After the Marine Board inquiry held at iSuva the Higher Court sat and found Captain Robertson to blame for the loss of the schooner and suspended liis certificate for six months pending further investigations. The captain was ordered to pay the costs of the inquiry. The search steamer salvaged the lighter' portion of the Stratacona’s cargo and fittings.
