ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS.
(Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON. Aug. 1, Two tram accidents occurred in the ritv on Saturday night. The victim of'the first of these, which ended fatally, was a man about fifty years of age and apparently a laboiem 1 w was hit by a tram car near the Courton ay Place ter minus about 8-30 p.m--and thrown on to his back. He was taken to the hospital with a fractured skull was operated upon, and <lieu at 2 o’clock this morning. The victim has not yet been identified. The second accident also occurred ini Courti nay Place. Trooper \> ilham Chambers, belonging to the Waikanoe camp, was knocked down by a tiam and sustained a slight concussion. He was taken to the hospital, where Me Ls progressing favorably.
