The "fighting platform'’ of the League was amended to read as under:(11 Assessment of all rates on unimproved values. All C. 1L Nightingale (ChirstehurehL and Dunedin to he selected by the brgiy •*>. see rota rv and treasure!, - \ resolution was passed directing attention to the failure of purchasing land for closer settlement under tin Land for Settlement Act. and pointing out that, “according to the latest New Zealand Year Rook £6.936.613 "-as expended in the acquisition of estates with incidental expenses amounting h> £581.832, while the selecto-is on the lands so acquired numbered only 55“9 anti 96,365 aeres.xff the purchased land were undisposed of.
