The stream of troops from west to east, which began three-weeks ago, continues undiminished, their places being taken by men witli only five weeks’ training, consisting of previously untrained landsturmers between 39 and 45, and recruits of 18 and 19. The Staff originally intended that these men should be trained until September. The German reserves appear to be nearly'exhausted. Trained landsturmers to 48 years have already been called up, and also untrained country landsturmers. Only three classes of untrained town landsturmers, aged from 43 to 45 remain. The “Cologne Gazette” explains that the pause in the Warsaw operations is due to the length of communication lines and says there must be no lack of reserves and supplies of ammunition. Tlie enemy’s counterstrokes also ereale situations which must be cleared up before a general advance- continues.
