WOMEN AND HIGH PLACES.
(To the Editor.) Dir, — f am enlightened indeed. According to the uttered ideas of a certain class of men a. seat on the Hospital Board is an exaltation. Now’, had it been a seat .< •> the Borough Council-! I could have understood the aeriated, picturesque cftccts. And it s all so polished and proper you know 1 — people calling one another hypocrites, allowing most extravagant turrs, etc., etc. I have a- feeling Mrs Walker will be comfortable in her high (?) place and after bearing the sweet discourses of last night’s meeting she will be' as enlightened as’ 1 am. I know this much of that lady, however, sluv.ll do what she thinks is right and she ll not island anv string pulling and that is why there is opposition from a certain section—Tain, etc. ELECTOR.
