THE SEA WOLVES.

BRITISH STEAMERS SUNK. LONDON. Aug. 5. The Liverpool steamer Portia has been sunk. All on board were saved. (Received Aug. G, 9.-W p.m.) There were 1153 departures and arrivals during the week, and six British, merchantmen were submarined, tlieir total tonnage being 18,837. Nine fishing smacks were also sunk.
