OFFICIAL TURKISH R EPORT. (United Press Association—Copyright.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Aug. 5. Official: Our artillery on Tuesday destroyed a bomb-throwers’ position near Aribnnni. An enemy cruiser unsuccessfully shelled-Allotsme. Our artillery, replying. struck a torpedo boat, which retired.
An enemy aviator bombarded Ernie southwards of Kum K" 1 killing a wounded man. A cruiser and four torpedo boats appeared southward of Smyrna on Tuesday. An aviator ascended from the warship and dropped three bombs on Sigbajik, killing one person. Ihe warships then tired 20(1 shells on 1 lie towns destroying one house. We heavily attacked the Russian rearguard in tho Caucasus in tl )0 neighbourhood of Hamur, compelling a retreat northward, and capturing 150. . . Our pursuing troops occupied Kara Kilissa region, around Hamur. THE GERMAN REPORT.
AMSTERDAM, August 5. f A Berlin communique states: We took as prisoners 2225 in the vicinity of Poniewiez. The armies of General von Scholss and von Gallwitz are progressing towards the Lomza, Ostrof, and Wyschow road. There were bravo and desperate hut unsuccessful coun-ter-attacks by tho Russians on both sides of the road. Twenty-two officers, 4840 men, and 17 machinoguns were captured. This confirms the occupation of Warsaw. •: The situation at Ivangorod is mi--changed. AUSTRIAN REPORT. (Received Aug. 6, 10.40 p.m.) ■VIENNA, Aug. 6. A Vienna communique records that Prince Leopold of Bavaria has reached Warsaw, and that the Austm-Gerinans •between the Vistula and the Lug are pursuing the Russians and fighting battles on route.
Austrian cavalry has reached Ustihig, and German cavalry Vladimir and Wolynski. The Italian attack on. Monte Grose was repulsed with groat slaughter and the enemy retreated, partially in flight, to the woods south of tho border stream. In order to relieve the retreators, the Italians attempted a surprise attack on the Kofcl position, hut were repulsed. '
