OVERSEAS RIFLE CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Overseas Rifle Club took place at tho Garrison Hall last evening, when there was a good attendance. The President (Mr D. Rait) had a very satisfactory balance-sheet to put forward, there being a credit of about £l3 in hand on the general funds. The secretary reported that the final instalment on rifles was now due, and the collection of outstanding amounts was taken in hand. Tho executive for the coming year were appointed as follows: President, Mr D. Rait; vice-presidents, Messrs James Johnstone and W. Cave; treasurer, Mr Geo. Holmes* secretary, Mr S. D. Buntim; finance committee, Messrs York, Mount, Armstrong, Breingan ; shooting committee, Messrs Snelgar, Faulkner, York, and Armstrong. A delegate was elected to represent the Club oil'the City Band fund committee. After the meeting an informal discussion took place on the subject of a uniform, and it was decided to ascertain the style of uniform authorised by the Defenco Department and to refer the matter to a general meeting of tho Club to be held shortly. There was a unanimous opinion of members that the time had now arrived for members to provide themselves with a uniform. , It was decided that the annual reunion* of the Club should take the form of a social, and a committee was set up to carry this through.
