DECEASED PERSONS’ ESTATES
(Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. . During July 2Gb estates were certified for the payment, of death duties, Tho largest being that of S_. B. Lawrence, of Invercargill, at £64,001. Following is the list for Poverty Bay.—MacMillan, Robert Hyslop, £11.374, Tr , Hawke’s Bay.—Houston, Jessie Falconer, £2-3,3-13; Humphries, Reginald, Bernard, £1.586. ATJCKLAND FTRE TRAOEDYAUCKLAND, Aug. 6. At an inquest concerning the death of Mrs Annie Mumford, who was found dead in a burning house on the evening of July 29, the Coroner stated that there was no evidence of foul play, although the circumstances at first seemed suspicious. Death was probably duo to deceased striking her head against a sharp corner of the sofa, as the result of a fall, though the evidence did not show exactly how tho accident occurred.
