VESSELS IN PORT. Petone, a.. Coronation, ketch. llaerc, scow. j j NOTES. The inner harbor presented a very busy scene yesterday morning, and labor was scarce. The steamships j Petone, Rosamond and Make, and two sailing vessels, the Haere and Awanui, were all busily loading or unloodimg cargo. Three or four lighters i were also unloading cargo, and tho i dredger Maui in tho stream, helped i out the impression of extreme activity. Richardson and Co.’s s.s.. Make sailed last night for Napier, Coast bays and Auckland. The Union Co.’s s.s. Rosamond arrived yesterday morning, with a transhipment of 185 tons of general cargo ex s.s. Whakarua, and other cargo, and sailed last night for Napier. From that port tho vessel will sail direct for Auckland. Tho scow Haere, which arrived on Sunday evening from North with a .shipment of coal for .the G.S.F.M. Co., after a good passage down the coast, is expected to complete discharging operations to-morrow, and will sail for Auckland direct in the evening. The Craig Co.’s s.s. Ihumata will arrive to-night from Newcastle direct with a cargo of coal. ‘Tho schooner A warm! completes loading general cargo for Coast bays and Auckland to-day, and is expected to sail this evening. The Canterbury Co.’s s.s. Petone will probably finish discharging her cargo of 800 tons of coal to-morrow, and will sail in the evening for Greymouth direct. Tho Richardson Co.’s s.s. Kahu leaves Auckland to-night for Gisborne, via the Coast bays. The passenger boats from North and South to-morrow will both be tho Union Co.’s ships, the Tarawera and Warrimoo respectively. The Warrimoo arrives early in the morning, and will bo tendered at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. She will '.sail for North about noon. The s.s. Tarawera will arrive from Auckland and Tokomaru Bay early in the afternoon and will he tendered on arrival and at 7.30 p.m., leaving at 10 p.m. for South. The N Z. Shipping Co.’s liner Opawa arrives on Monday next, not to-day, as was stated. The vessel will load wool, etc., for Home ports, and will sail on or about Wednesday for Auckland.
