ACT TO RE ENFORCED IN FUTURE.

(Press Association Telegram.) WELLINGTON, Aug. II

The Prime Ministry announced today that the Government had decided to enforce the provisions of the Gaming and Lotteries Act relating to raffles. He said that raffles which were actually in progress at that time for solely patriotic purposes would be allowed to proceed to completion, the police not prosecuting without- instructions from the Attorney-Gene-ral, but the Act would bo enforced for the future, and permits would lx> issued only in accordance with the Act,
