The Union Co.’s s.s. Warrimoo a-r----'rived yesterday morning from the South., and .was tendered at 6 and 10 a.m. The vessel left a little before noon for _Tokomaru Bay and Auckland.
The Union Co.’s s.s. Tarawera arrived later titan usual yesterday afternoon from Auckland and: Tokomaru Bay, after a calm but slow passage Tho’vessel was tendered at 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m., and later left for Napier and southern ports. The Richardson Co.’s s.s. Ripple arrives to-morrow morning from Wellington and Napier, and after discharging a general cargo will sail direct for Wellington in the evening. Tire Union Co.’s s.s. Karamu is due to arrive in port to-morrow from southern ports, with a general cargo. The Richardson Co.’s s.s. Kalin left Auckland yesterday morning for Coast bays and Gisborne, and is due to arrive here on Monday morning. The, Union Co.’s s.s. Wana'ka left Bluff on Tuesday for Auckland, via Dunedin, Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru, and. Wellington, carrying a small quantity of cargo for Gisborne, which will bo transhipped at Auckland. The a.s. Tluia, which arrived in port on Tuesday night from Grcymouth, will sail direct for Wellington on Monday. Captain, Starch, who commanded the S.S. and A. Line’s R.M.S. lonic, has been relieved by Capt. J. Davies. Captain Green, who commanded tlio R.M.S. Tokomaru, one of the first ships torpedoed in the English Channel, has been given the command of the s.s. Kumara. Captain Chudley, late of the s.s. Pakoha, lias been appointed to the position of marine superintendent for the S.S. and A. Line at Wellington, and has been replaced in command of the Pakoha by Captain Lewis.
