THE WEATHER.
Present indications are for moderate to strong, easterly to northerly winds and cool and changeable weather generally; conditions are still somewhat threatening to the westward, and cloudy and unsettled weather is likely at times in the western and southernmost districts of the South and Island and also in the northern portion of the NLorth Island. The barometer is unsteady, but has a falling tendency.
