The-second portion.of the Irish mail train from Elision was wrecked between Blisworth and Woedon. A connecting rod on an engine on an adjoining set of rails broke and the Irish mail train’s engines fouled the broken rod and were derailed. Five carriages were overturned, and eight people wore killed and thirty injured Air Arthur Lynch, AI.P., and Lord Alountoagle are among the injured. Four of the sorters in the mail van were killed.
