The men's hookey match. West End A v. Mercantile, which was clayed on S-durday mi tho Childers Roan reserve, resulted m a win lor West End by 5 points to 3. 'Die latter team had all the best of the first bait, hut at the beginning of the second half Mercantile ••bucked up," and kept t-heir opponents on the delensive practically all the time. The -Mercantile, however, could not pull up t-he lead obtained l.v tlio West End team at the start. For West "End. the following players scored: W. Roe (21, Anderson (21.' and Armstiong U). For Mercantile. Hudson (21, and Eton (! >• Messrs Olsen and Cotterill acted as referees.
