ANOTHER TOKOMARU FAREWELL. Rv Telegraph—Special Correspondent y TOKOMARU, Aug. 16. Quite a jovial party arrived at the house of Mr J. Adams, of Tokomaru Hay, on Wednesday night last, in© party took Mr Adams by surprise. Mr Oates sard he was quite sure that wherever Mr Adams lot was cast he would keep his end up, and also that he would not forget his friends in Tokomaru Bay. He had very much pleasure m presenting Mr Adams with a sleeping bag, wli.cn, he lmd no doubt, would come m handy 1 dining his career at the front. I Mr Adams, who hopes to bo attached to the Artillery Corps, feelingly J replied. During the evening songs were rendered by Messrs Oates, Nodon, Kirwan, Jones, Ettlcs and Lynch. The various accompaniments wore played by Mr Lynch. The send-off, whicn | was most successful, concluded by the | singing of “Rule Britannia” and “God 1 .Save the King.”
