Mr Charles Lange, of Matawhero, received a telegram on .Monday morn ing from the Minister for Defence reporting that his son. Norman Lange had been wounded in the face. Yesterday evening Mr Lange received another telegram from the same source reporting that another son, Archibald, had been wounded bv a gunshot in the left ami. The two brothers weut awav with the Fourth Reinforcements, but Norman remained m E"ypt after the others went to the front and was still there when he > wrote a letter which was received last, week, and so could not have been, at the front very long before being wounded. Both hoys are very welt known in the district, and much sympathy- will he extended to the relatives in the anxiety which they must nave experienced. Private G. Dos Forges, whose name appears in this morning’s list of wormed was a Gisborne man. Tins is the second' time lie has oeen put out. or action, as he was also wounded on May < 10 last.
