RAUKOKORE P.G. BURGLED

STOLEN PROPERTY RECOVERED (Special to the Times.) QPOTIKI, Jan. 8.

Sergt. Ferguson, of the local .police, received word this morning that the Raukokore post office had been broken into last night. He instructed Native Constable Pirim, stationed at Te Kaha, to proceed to Raukokore and make inquiries. This the constable did and reports to-day having recovered the stolen booty from some Maoris. Further steps-will be taken on receipt’of the constables lull report. Raukokore is 05 miles from Opotiki. _______________
