Present indications are for variable winds but moderate to strong southerlies prevailing, '’hanging to easterlies northwards of New 1 Plymouth and Napier, and to nortlierlies shortly elsewhereweather fair and warmer generally, hut clouding or ei in many parts and scattered rainfall probable in the northern and East Coast districts of the North Island. The barometer should be falling everywhere after about 24 hours.
