£2IOO BOOK

BOUGHT FOR 2s Gd

A BUNYAN RARITY

LONDON, Dec. 21. A first edition of John Bunyan’s “Book for Boys and Girls” was sold to-day for £2IOO. Only one other copy of this edition is known to exist, and that is in the British- Museum. The book was, with a number of others, bought by a woman for half a crown some years ago. Recently her daughter, who is a post office vorken, showed it to a local librarian, and he submitted it to Hodgson and Co., the book auctioneers. They recognised it as a rarity, and submitted it at auction.
