MISHAP TO LIMITED

The south bound lamped met with it slight mishap near Uwnango at an early hour this morning, a small slip descending on to the tram as it passed a spot where the country is very rugged. Eortunately none of the passengers were injured, although one, at least, received bruises ''rum stones contained in the debris. The. train proceeded on its journey, and it was not untit the first sration was reached that the accident was discovered by the officials. On arrival at Palmerston North tnis morning the damaged carriage bore evidence as to the impact of the fall of earth. Several of the windows were smashed and the fanlights broken, while the roof and sides of the car wore covered with deposits of mud.—P.A.
