RESTRICTIONS ON COLONIALS RELEASED. OReceirecl Jan. b, 5.-5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 5. The Rugby clubs and their affiliated Leagues rejected, by fourteen votes to thirteen, 'Wigan’s proposal to remove the ban on all Colonial players on January 8. A further motion supported the action of the Rugby League Council, releasing the restriction on Australian and New Zealand Rugby Union players from January 3. The Council decided to reduce the price of admission to the Leeds test on January 15 to Is 6d. It was considered that L. Brown had been sufficiently punished by being sent off the field. E. Henry, having been registered as a York player, his suspension by the New Zealand managers must terminate on January lb. Henry played for York prior to going to New Zealand. —A.N.Z.C.A.
