ITALIAN SEISMOLOGIST’S PROPHECY FOR 1927.

BIG ’QUAKES IN POLYNESIA IN JANAURY AND FEBRUARY.

ROME,' Jan. 6. Professor Bendanhi, the noted seismologist, prophesies that the present year will be noted for great earth paroxysms which will scatter death and destruction in most distant parts of the world. About January 13 there will he a series of violent earthquakes in Europe, Asia'and Polynesia. In February, the seismic lever will be more intense, and it will seem as if the .earth is trembling. Central America will be violently shaken, and with the advance of spring shocks will be felt in Europe. There will be violent earth commotions and .volcanic eruptions in the summer in Japan, and by July the seismic forces will be in full activity in Southern Europe, Western Mexico and California.
