PRESIDENT AGAIN FLOUTED BY
POLITICIANS. (Received Jan.' 9, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 8. Mr. Coolidge’s wishes held up the amendment on the Naval Bill asking for an appropriation of £450.000 dollars to construct three cruisers. The amendment was defeated, despite excited debate in which Republican leaders denounced . the President’s message and policies.—A and N.Z.C.A.
