(Received Jan. 11. 9.20 p.m.) ' LONDON, Jan. 11. Ed"ar William Smith, handcuffed, charged at Newark with wounding Constable Dainty, was booed by two thousand people outside the court. The prisoner was remanded. FLORENCE PREPARES TO WELCOME BRITISH COAL. LONDON, Jan. 11. The Dailv Telegraph’s Florence correspondent, says the Union Jack and other British flags are being prepared to welcome the arrival of the first British coal since the stride.
