MUSSOLINI'S CREED
“WORK A PASSION TO ME” FURTHER CONFESSIONS OF BOMBASTIC DICTATOR “WOMEN INTERFERE WITH EFFICIENCY” (United Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received Jan. 11, 8.50 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 11. “I told my subordinates I must never see a woman in Palazzo or Chigi. They interfere with efficiency and cause delay; they do not appreciate business, introducing by their presence an obligatory deference, which is unnecessary in Mie company of men.” Thus says Mussolini in the British United Press article. He declares: “Work is a passion to me. This natural bent I attribute to temperament, training, heritage and indomitable will to reach the goal I proposed to attain. Adversity in youth year after year trained me to meet difficulties by hard work. The constant grind mad© mo something of a working automaton. If there is nothing to be done I create something. Above all, I have a great aim to restore my people to the glory that was theirs.”—A. and N.Z. C'.A.
