Dr. Thomas Lumsden, who gave up a prosperous practice to undertake cancer research at Lister Institute, announces he has made a powerful serum capable of destroying cancer cells. Dr Lumsden began treating cancer in rats,' and then perfected scrum made from the bicod and the intestines of rats, winch proved capable of killing the cancer cell in the test tubes. It must be emphasised that the serum at present is not applicable to human patients, but the Lister Institute believes a distinct advance has been made and a new light thrown on the obscure aspects of the cancer scourge.—A N.Z.U.A.
