SPAHLINGER THREAT
MAY BURN SERUM SECRET AND LEAD ORDINARY LIFE

Mr Spall linger entered the controversy concerning his tuberculosis serum with, a letter in the. Daily Express from Geneva in which he says:— ... “1 have given up my life to tins work and the lives of others dear to mo are similarly devoted. If the achievements are to be so easily discredited I should be glad to burn my secret and return to the bar, foi which I am fully qualified, and lead for the first time in fifteen years a life owning an ordinary man’s share of sunshine.”
The Daily Express editorially refers to the statement as a threat, adding that if Mr Spahlinger lias discovered a method of defeating the scourge, then, however tired and discouraged, it is lioth his duty and his privilege to give it to the world. —A. and N.Z.C.A.
