VIRGINIA YALLI AND PAT O’MALLEY IN “WATCH YOUR
WIFE.”
TO-NIGHT’S NEW PROGRAMME
“Watch Your Wife,” UniversalJewel co-starring Virginia Yalli and Pat OMalley, showing to-night at Everybody’s Theatre, is a . striking domestic comedy drama mat is certain to win favor everywhere. Its leading characters are a husband and wife whose petty quarrels eventually lead them to the divorce court. The tie that binds severed, the couple only begin to realise- the happiness that had been theirs. With the wife gone, home is no longer home to the husband-author who never had any time 'for his wife. Even a doting old housekeeper fails to take her place. Then it is he who seeks another companion, and from a social service bureau “rents” a “wife.” The contract, however, bars love-making. The wife, alone in her hotel, falls into the clutches of a foreign fortune hunter, a former admirer. Working in and out of the story, is a lawyer who is continually doing me wrong tiling in his efforts to bring about a reconciliation. It is an unusual story with comedy and drama sharing the honors. Miss Yalli. as tire wife, is superb. O’Malley, as the husbandauthor, comes to the front again with another splendid exhibition of acting. Two excellent comedies and Gazette complete the supports.
