AIAN A WAIT CHAMPIONSHIPS
PALMERSTON X., Jan. 12. The tennis championship finals were placed to-day, and resulted as follows:—
Men's Singles.—llaege heat Andrews, G—3—6, 6—4. Ladies’ Singles.—Miss Speirs- beat Mrs Melody, 6—o, 6—3. Men’s Doubles.-—Haege and MalITov (Wellington) beat Wilson and Park, 6—o. 6—3.
Ladies’ Doubles. —Mrs. Melody and Miss Speirs beat Mrs. Hetley and Miss Clark, 6—o, 6—l. Mixed Doubles.—Andrews and Miss Speirs beat Haege and Miss Macfarlane, S—3, 6—l. The handicap finals resulted as follows:
Men’s Singles.—Smith (IS) beat Mawhiney (2), 60-48. Men’s Doubles. —Anderson and Sandrad beat Barkman and Powdrell (5), 60-53. Ladies’ Doubles.—Misses Myers anil Culver (2) beat Misses D. Haggitt- and Fannin (4), 50-36.- —P.A.
