SHOCK FOR COUNTESS’ PARTY. ,£48,000 A YEAR INCOME. "LONDON". Dee. 28. The Earl o£ Oadogan was absent travelling in the East, via the Mediterranean, when his crediors. in the Bankruptcy Court proved his total indebtedness at £47,918. Lady Cadogan was at Culvert Hall, the Earl’s country seat, where a shooting party was in progress, when an inspector toolc possession of the premises. Counsel denied that the Earl had borrowed money to settle his gambling debts or to satisfy blackmailers. < The trustees in the estate had paid £12,000 in connection with a former * bankruptcy. A trustee was appointed to administer the estate, the annual income from which is £4S,OOQ.
