Commenting on Mr Green’s statement regarding short weight buttes in the East, Mr P. J. Carroll, Commonwealth Supervisor of Dairy Exports, said: “It is a ridiculous state ment and utterlj- absurd. The butter is shipped to the East in 12oz, 240 z, and 60oz tins, the amounts being fixed bv the Commonwealth regulations for the express purpose of permitting the Australian exporter to compete successfully with the Dutch and Danish market.
