BEAM WIRELESS
AUSTRALIA NOT QUITE READY FOR TESTS LONDON, Jan. 12. Marconi and the Post Office are ready for the immediate carrying out of an official seven days’ test or beam wireless with Australia. It is understood that Australia is not quite ready. Marconis are completely satisfied with their ow n testa in which the3 T have reached a higher rate of transmission than was ever reached to Canada. They are confident they could have exceeded 300 words a minute, but this is the limit of capacity of land-lines. A. and N.Z.C.A.
