MERRY SCENES AT GARRISON HALL City Queensland again attracted pleasure seekers to the Garrison Hall last evening and the numerous novelty events, delightful dancing, to Lighton’s orchestra, exhibitions of eccentric dancing by Misses McKenzie and Brown, demonstrations on “home-trainers” and the tricycle and bicycle novelty events attracted great interest and attention. The drawing of the oij-painting _ art union, tickets for xvhicli were given free to patrons on Wednesday night, resulted in ticket number 1030 winning the prize. To-night City Queenland will be continued. The star item will be a demonstration bn a “home-training’ machine by R. W. (“Fatty”) Lanib, world’s amateur cycling champion. Another excellent gymastic display will be staged 1/y the Y.M.C.A. squad, Miss Brown will give exhibitions of solo dancing and novelty events, comprising egg and spoon cycle race, pillow fighting, etc., together with all the usual floor games, will be in full/. swing. _ A feature of interest to all dancing fans in Gisborne will bo that the admission of one shilling at the main doors entitles them to free dancing all night to excellent music supplied by Mrs Heendy’s dance orchestra.
