So mariv thousands of people surrounded a" house in Whitechapel-rond to see a Jewish bride and groom, Miss Freedman and Nicholas Gold, depart in a last century stage coach for the wedding at the Synagogue that the police, as two pages and sixbridesmaids formed the procession, announced that they would issue a summons for street obstruction. All the male guests wore pinner jackets and white spats. Fifteen limousines followed the coach. The church was smothered in chrysanthemums. Traffic was again nearly blocked on the way to the reception. Police salunted the coach, thinking it was a civic vehicle.
