RENOWN DUE AT SUVA ON FEBRUARY 17. NATIVE CEREMONIES ARRANGED. (Received Jan. 14, 5.5 p.m.) SUVA, Jan. 14. H.AI.S. Renown arrives at Suva on the afternoon of February 17, and will be escorted up the harbor by a fleet of native sailing .canoes. The Governor calls on the Royal party at 2.15 p.m. and the official landing will take place at three o’clock, the Duke and Duchess proceeding thence to Government House grounds to meet the school children. A civic reception will be held at 3.30, thence they return to Government House. Between 4.30 and 6 o’clock Native ceremonies will be witnessed, and at eight o’clock a ball will be held at the Grand Pacific Hotel. •At 10 a.m. on February 18 the Duke and Duchess will visit the war memorial, and the hospital, and will be taken for a motor drive in the afternoon, a dinner being held bn the Renown in the evening.—U.P.A.

POLICE PROTECTION IN NEW ZEALAND. FORCE OF EIGHTY CONSTABLES WELLINGTON, Jan. 14. The police arrangements for the Duke of York’s ■ tour provide for a special force of approximately 80 constables, which will be under Commissioner Mcllveney direct, accompanied by Air Broberg,’ ’senior superintendent in New Zealand. -No constable is under Oft in height.—P.A.
