The Private telephone line owners who decide to transfer tothe Post and Telegraph Poles may claim from the Board an amount of £2/10/- (Two Pounds Ten Shillings Stg.) per mile ot line for the distance the line would have otherwise had to be shifted but in this case the private telephone owners must remove all old materials. The Board recommends private telephone owners to consider favorably the transference to the Post and Telegraph Department’s lines believing that in most cases the avoidance of new capital outlay, of maintenance and depreciation costs, combined with a greater efficiency of service will compensate for the extra annual outlay.
