Vice by two yards.—Time : 1.13. 220yards.—Takaishi 1, Chariton 2, Moore 3. Won bv eight is. Time, 2.17. Takaishi won impressively, si owing that he is in a class above Charlton over 220 yards. The winner's time was 6 2-sths seconds faster t) an the Australian record and only one ami two-fifths seconds outside ‘the world's record. The high diving championship resulted:—Bassass 1, Tight 2, Coyle 3. 220yds breast stroke championship. Bayldon 1, O’Connor 2, Mc-Cure ji. Won by two yards. —Time: 3.15 4-ss. £BOOO PRIZE. BIG CALIFORNIAN SWIM. LOS ANGELES, January 1. There are 115 entries for the Catalina Channel marathon, promoted by Mr. William Wriglev, 'junr., the chewing gum magnate. The prize is £BOOO. The race will start at 11 a.m. on January 15.
