“THE BEST BAD MAN” Tom Mix, the greatest Western star who has had some exti emely thrilling moments during his him career, is called upon to do some very hazardous stunts m Ins latest and greatest picture. “The Best Bad Man” which was screen capacity house at the Palace last night. the Best Bad Man” adapted horn Max Brand’s greatest story, ‘ Senor Jinale Bells” affords Tom and of course, Tony, all the thrills imaginable. One of the most hazardous feats assigned this modern Buffalo Bill was that of swimming in a whirlpool. In this sequence Tony plays a very prominent part, and gives his master valuable assistance. Another great scene in this picture of thrilling episodes is where Tom is seated at a table m a saloon playing a guitar._ There comes a rap at the door; it is a sheriff and. a posse of cowboys. - They think Tom is a crook and come to arrest him. Tom doesn’t want to he arrested as he must still prove who the real crook is so he puts out- the light and makes his escape. The light switch was at the other side of the room, hut how was he to reach it—with the sheriff standing by. the connection. Mix solves the problem in a clever manner, _ making his escape in the dark. With the light extinguished, the cowboys started fighting among themselves, and Tom leaped through the window and on to thrills and excitement galore. “The Best Bad Man” is screening at to-day’s matinee and again to-nigh.t
