SUCH IS FAME
OUR “HOCKEY” PLA.YERS
COLLINS, GREGORY, ETC
MELBOURNE, Dec. 31. Bob Crockett tells a story to indicate how little is known in some parts of the world about our national game. The incident occurred at Montrcux, Switzerland, during the great umpire’s visit to the Continent. "■
The hotel manager, learning that Crockett came from Australia, remarked that among recent guests •had been an Australian hockey team. Thinking he might find the names of some one he knewt, Crockett looked at the visitors’ book. I'll ere he saw the names of “hockey players”—Collins, Gregory, Woodful, and all the rest.
