FIRST INDICATION OF RECOVERY. BIG DECREASE !N UNEMPLOYMENT. (Received Jan. 19. 7.50 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 18. The first indication of Britain’s New Year hope of trade recovery is contained in the fact that the Board of Trade figures show a reduction of 63,000 in the number of unemployed compared with last week. Nevertheless, the total unemployed is 1.432,000, which is 210.000 than a rear ago. —A and N.Z.C.A.
