His amended route is 43.000 miles, via Gibraltar, Canary Islands, Cape Verde and Buenos Ayres, thence to Santiago, Chili, Juan Fernandes, Samoa, New Zealand and Melbourne, Tokyo, Pekin, Calcutta, Karachi. Arabia, Somaliland, round Africa, along the Atlantic coast and thence to Rome.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
