Ttie progressive move initiated b> tPoverty Kay Power Board recently, when the Board offered to assume control of the street lighting, taking over all existing lights at valuation and to keep the lights lit all night throughout the borough, has boon accepted by the Borough Coiin-r-.il conditionally upon the Board paying £2OO for the lamps now erected. This request has now been acceded to by the Board. The Borough Council advised tue Board yesterday that, with a view to improving the street lighting, the Council had accepted the Bower Board’s offer to take over the present brackets and lamps provided £ : p v.-crs- paid for them.
