“THE PALM BEACH GIRL." Bebc Daniels has an exciting time in “The Palm Beach Girl,” her latest Paramount picture screening at the Palace to-day at the matinee and tonight. Bebe Daniels is one of the most popular of stars, her lively characterisations, her beautj- and charm are very much in evidence, and every minute' there is something doing. Just imagine Miss Daniels as a gawkjcountry uirl trying to learn the manners and mannerisms of the smart set, falling in love with a handsome adventuring with bootleggers and running wild in a sixty mile an hour speed boat and one can realise the hilarious fun, and hysterical thrills in this picture. The story was adapted from the yarn by Byron Alorgan, v author of the famous speed stories, and is full of speed and suspense. In the story Bebe Daniels meets a wealthy young man, Jack Trotter, when fleeing from her ma den aunts. Trotter’s fortune is invested in a coming speed boat race. Aliss Daniels i.s to Miristen the boat but makes manv mistakes. She is chased bv the Sheriff who thinks she has assisted some bootleggers to escape, whereas they made her stay m the Boat till they make their escape. Thrill follows* thrill, as she reaches the scene of the boat race. The mechanic is lest overboard and Miss Daniels keeps the boat in the race, finally winning. Then having won it, she can’t stop the boat. The finish provides the greatest thrill seen on the screen.
