LONDON SALES. (Received Jan. 23. 6.5 -p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 21. At the wool sales there was an excellent selection of merinos, but a limited supply of other sorts. There was spirited competition at full opening rates. Of Now Zealand clips offered C.G.O. realised 16. pl top price and 16pl average; Panikati 20pi top, 17pl average; Waiau I7d top and 15d average.——A. and N.Z.C.A. Messrs. Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., arc in receipt of the following cable from their London house: — 56’s yielding 60 per cent. 22(1 (21 pi); 50’s yielding 65 per cent., 18d (17 jd); 44-46's, prep, yielding 74 per cent.. 14d (14d); 44-46’s card, yielding 72 per cent., 13pl (13:\d); 40-44’s yielding 73 per cent., l3d (1.3 d) ; 36-40’s yielding 75 per cent., 12fd (The prices shown in brackets are those ruling at the close of the December series.
