OBITUARY
“■ MR S'. W. OXEN HAM. Much regret will be expressed amongst a large circle of friends at the death of Mr Sydenham " dham Oxenliam, which occurred at. his residence 669 Aberdeen Road. last evening, in his seventy-ninth year. Mr Oxenliam had been a resident o' this town for over thirty-six years. He arrived in Auckland in n sailing vessel in 1852, and came to Gisbornein 1891, taking over the position it constructional draughtsman, whim lie held until his retirement fourt vn years ago- He was an enthusiastic member of the Gisborne B<Club. He also took an active interest in the Ancient Order of Foresters and was a well-known Freemason. Mr Oxenhnm’s first wife predeceased him sixteen years ago. He leaves a widow, four daughters. Mesdames A. C. Colebourne, R. M. Hudson. A. M. Walshe. and C. S. Prime CGishorne) and two sons, Mr WfR. Oxenham (Gishoruet and Mr A. J. Oxonliam (Auckland).
