Under the direction of the Egyptian Government two exploring expeditions have been sent to the Soudan, for the purpose of surveying the country between the Nile and the province of Darfur, Kordafan, and the equatorial district west of Nyanza. They are to repair wells, prepare maps,’and report oq the country generally.
